Job summary

EDF Energy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Technical Services and delivery engineering team. You will lead HV/LV plant and apparatus projects, oversee a small engineer team, and drive initiatives across on- and offshore renewables with a strong focus on safety and standards.

We value practical experience, IEC/IEEE knowledge, and the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget, with occasional UK travel to support sites and clients.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Several years of engineering experience in high voltage plant and apparatus.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in fault finding, testing and repair of HV systems and components.
• Lead upgrades/projects from concept to delivery with compliance to standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integrated HV solutions.
• Review maintenance reports to identify defects and trends for improvement.
• Manage and communicate findings with stakeholders to enhance reliability.
• Review and approve specifications; assist in procurement for continuity of supply.
• Plan and coordinate electrical resources with internal and external teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns.
• Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure on-time delivery.
• Assist RCA and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Stay current with HV engineering trends and best practices.
