Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer with five to eight years of experience to join the High Voltage Civil and Structural Team. The role covers Substation, HVDC converter stations, and cable projects with opportunities across Genova, Madrid, or Belgrade teams.

You will contribute to FEED and detailed design, support proposals, and coordinate with clients and stakeholders on a range of transmission projects. Relocation and security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural engineering.
• Chartered Engineer or applying for chartership preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and FEED, detailed civil/structural design, cable routing design, scheme costing, and drawing packages for planning and tenders.
• Manage projects and write proposals; attend design/interface meetings with clients.
• Prepare specifications and detailed civil/structural design outputs.
• Assess existing structures for reuse and performance.
• Provide design assurance and technical support on HV transmission assets.
