Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR Limited is hiring a Senior HSE Advisor. This hybrid role is based from one of our offices in Derby, Manchester or Warrington, and supports Health, Safety and Environmental arrangements across the organisation and its supply chain.

You will provide SME guidance, lead risk-based assurance, and drive continuous improvement in SMS/EMS, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 readiness, while collaborating with engineering, design and operations teams to uphold best practices and regulatory

Responsibilities

• Provide SME advice, guidance, support and leadership in Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental protection across the organisation and its supply chain.
• Create, implement, develop arrangements, and perform risk-based assurance activities to ensure SMS and EMS are suitable, scalable and certified.
• Lead facilitation and promote our arrangements during assurance activities such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 external certification and customer due diligence.
• Deliver agreed business improvement plans.
• Provide advice and support to engineering, design and operational functions to apply best practice and industry expectations.
• Conduct specialist safety assessments (e.g., HAZOPs and HAZIDs).
• Identify data requirements, set up collection arrangements, validate data and present with actions for improvement.
• Respond to incidents, track trends, drive actions to closure and perform root-cause investigations.
• Support regulatory intervention sessions.
• Support development of a health and safety culture and drive for HS&E excellence.
• Set and evaluate suppliers' HS&E arrangements.
