Job summary

Forward Role, partnering with a global organisation, is seeking an experienced HR Shared Services Manager in Birmingham on a 6-month FTC. You will lead HR Shared Services and Compliance teams, drive end-to-end HR operations, immigration and data privacy, and partner with HR, Payroll, IT, Finance and Risk to scale service delivery in a fast-paced environment.

This hybrid role demands strong leadership, governance, and a passion for process improvement to deliver an outstanding employee experience

Qualifications

• Leadership in HR Shared Services or HR Operations.
• Strong knowledge of UK immigration, Right to Work and sponsorship requirements.
• Experience managing compliance, governance, audit and regulatory obligations.
• Track record of continuous improvement and operational transformation.
• HR systems capability, Oracle HCM desirable.
• Experience leading high-performing teams in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR Shared Services and HR Compliance teams.
• Oversee end-to-end HR operations and lifecycle processes.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex operational/compliance matters.
• Lead UK Right to Work, immigration, sponsorship and visa activity.
• Drive process improvement, automation and service transformation initiatives.
• Partner with HR Systems to maximise systems capability and service delivery.
• Manage HR data privacy, compliance controls and Data Subject Rights Requests.
• Develop service metrics, reporting and governance frameworks.
• Build relationships across HR, Payroll, IT, Finance and Risk.
