Job summary

Itchyfeet Recruitment Agency is seeking a Senior HR Advisor to deliver high-quality HR support within the HR Business Partnering team across the firm. You will advise on policies, resolve employee relations issues, and contribute to annual HR processes.

You will lead inductions, manage secondments, and collaborate with recruitment on student schemes, while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legislation.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years' experience in a HR advisory role.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to engage at all levels.
• Strong problem-solving, confidentiality, and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
• Advise on the interpretation and application of HR policies in accordance with local legislation.
• Develop a deep understanding of the office and practice areas supported.
• Support the salary review and bonus recommendation processes.
• Coordinate documentation for all internal and external secondments and transfers.
• Conduct HR induction sessions for new joiners as required.
• Facilitate discussions on parental leave, retirement, and performance issues.
• Conduct employee exit interviews to build insights for retention strategies.
• Oversee the trainee induction programme in collaboration with relevant teams.
• Assist in the coordination of various student schemes alongside the recruitment team.
• Seek out process improvements for increased efficiency.
• Produce HR reports from the HR system as necessary.
• Provide support to the business partnering team during busy periods.
