A leading organisation in the chilled food sector is seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to work part-time in Motherwell, United Kingdom. Responsibilities

  • Leading complex case management (disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability).
  • Providing expert advice on absence management, OH referrals and RTW processes.
  • Supporting and coordinating recruitment activity on shift.
  • Managing key HR processes including probation, exit interviews and policy updates.
  • Representing HR in Tier 2 and strategic meetings.

We’re delighted to be supporting a leading organisation in the chilled food/manufacturing sector, who are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior HR Advisor on a part-time basis.

Reporting to the HR Manager, this role offers genuine responsibility, exposure to senior stakeholders, and the opportunity to shape HR practice within a fast-paced environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor seeking part-time work with real responsibility, senior engagement, and the ability to influence change across a key operational function.

Hours:

Monday – 1pm to 5pm

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday – 7pm to 11pm

Weekend – 4 hours (flexible)

The role:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading complex case management (disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability)
  • Providing expert advice on absence management, OH referrals and RTW processes
  • Supporting and coordinating recruitment activity on shift
  • Contributing to HR improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects
  • Attending and supporting disciplinary hearings
  • Managing key HR processes including probation, exit interviews and policy updates
  • Representing HR in Tier 2 and strategic meetings
  • Reviewing job descriptions and team structures
  • Advising on recruitment, selection and retention strategies
  • Monitoring HR metrics (turnover, engagement and retention)
  • Championing wellbeing and engagement across the workforce

You’ll bring:

  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards)
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and case law
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex ER cases
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • High levels of resilience and professional maturity
  • Competence with HRIS and MS Office tools
