Job summary

Castleford Three Lane Ends Academy in Whitwood is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic primary school team. You will support learning across the school, work with teachers and colleagues to inspire pupils and raise attainment.

We are looking for someone with HLTA status or an equivalent qualification, who can deliver high-quality learning activities, assess pupil progress, and contribute to safeguarding and a positive, inclusive school community.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
• Recent experience in a primary school.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Excellent communication with pupils and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging activities for individuals, groups and whole classes.
• Lead whole-class learning in the absence of the class teacher.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Collaborate to assess and report pupil progress.
• Deliver targeted interventions to boost progress.
• Support inclusion and engagement of pupils with additional needs.
• Contribute to wider life and community of the school.
