Job summary

The Supply Register, in exclusive partnership with L.E.A.D Academy Trust, is recruiting Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to support Sheffield primary schools including Birley Spa, Birley, Charnock Hall and Rainbow Forge.

As an HLTA you will deliver pre‑planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, lead small-group interventions, provide 1:1 support, assist with behaviour management and pupil engagement, and help with planning and assessment.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or strong TA experience with proven cover experience.
• Confidence delivering lessons independently.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• A proactive, flexible and supportive approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential).

Responsibilities

• Delivering pre‑planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Leading small‑group interventions and targeted support.
• Providing 1:1 support where required.
• Assisting with behaviour management and pupil engagement.
• Supporting teachers with planning, assessment and classroom routines.
• Helping maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.
