Job summary

Master Class Education is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work across local schools in the South/West Yorkshire area. You will provide support in classrooms, delivering planned activities when teachers are absent, and help pupils achieve their learning goals.

The role offers flexible, short- and long-term opportunities with competitive pay and ongoing support from a dedicated recruitment team. Start dates are ASAP and placements cover multiple year groups.

Qualifications

• Reliable, enthusiastic and confident in the classroom.
• Experience in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons and activities in the absence of the class teacher.
• Lead whole-class, small-group and intervention sessions.
• Support teachers with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Provide targeted support to pupils, including those with SEND.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
• Support the wider school community, including trips and extracurricular activities.
• Work flexibly across different schools and year groups.
