Job summary

Teaching-Tomorrow is seeking an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a friendly primary school team in Bedfordshire. You will lead whole-class sessions in the absence of a teacher and deliver targeted interventions to pupils with diverse needs.

The role supports safeguarding and school improvement through close collaboration with staff. The successful candidate will have HLTA status or an equivalent qualification, strong literacy and numeracy, and excellent interpersonal

Qualifications

• HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working in a primary school setting.
• Strong literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead whole-class learning activities in the absence of a teacher.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities under the direction of teaching staff.
• Support the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils.
• Deliver targeted intervention programmes to individuals and small groups.
• Assist in assessing, recording, and monitoring pupil progress.
• Support pupils with SEND where required.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations of all pupils.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies.
