Job summary

Teach Plus in Southall, West London, is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school on a full-time basis, starting ASAP. The HLTA will support teaching and learning across the school and deliver targeted interventions to help pupils progress.

The role requires experienced HLTA or education professional with strong classroom management and communication skills, collaborating with teachers to support pupils and contribute to a positive school community.

Qualifications

• Experience as a HLTA or in a similar role.
• Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role.
• Enhanced DBS with Update Service.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons and high-quality lessons to whole classes, across the school (EYFS - KS2).
• Lead small-group and targeted interventions to support pupils' academic progress and development.
• Provide effective classroom cover and deliver pre-planned lessons when required.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a calm, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Work closely with class teachers and the wider school team to monitor pupil progress and identify individual learning needs.
• Support pupils with their social, emotional and educational development, encouraging confidence and independence.
