Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead major highways projects from Cardiff or Bristol, with travel across the UK and Ireland. You will manage delivery, teams and client relationships to ensure value, quality and timely outcomes for flagship schemes.

You will bring extensive UK highway sector experience, a Chartered or Eng. role, and a proven ability to shape projects, manage risk and drive collaborative governance across complex programs.

Qualifications

• Significant experience of Project Manager roles on large scale UK infrastructure projects (>£5M design fees per annum).
• Project/Engineering Management background with highway sector experience delivering for National Highways, Transport Scotland and Principal Contractors.
• Ability to work constructively with clients to protect AtkinsRéalis’ commercial objectives.
• Good understanding of design procedures, change control, checking and review requirements.
• Understanding of NEC3/4 and/or bespoke contracts.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead major highways projects as a Senior Project Manager or smaller highways projects as Project Director.
• Manage project delivery to meet revenue, profit and cash-flow targets with clear reporting.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams including Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and Design Managers.
• Plan resources with resource managers to ensure proper project support.
• Maintain alignment on scope, programme, cost, risk, constraints and interfaces.
• Meet client, governance, technical, HSE and quality requirements throughout the life cycle.
• Share best practice and mentor team members to build capability.
• Lead bids for highways opportunities with deliverable-focused solutions.
