AtkinsRéalis in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Highways Engineer to join our Transportation team. You will design highways, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and deliver work packages from feasibility through to contract documents, with hybrid working options.

The role requires substantial highway design experience, DMRB knowledge, and Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status preferred. You will collaborate with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-value schemes while developing

Qualifications

• BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering with professional status preferred (IEng/CEng).
• Extensive highway design experience and knowledge of DMRB standards.
• Understanding of project commercial aspects and lifecycle delivery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare highway designs and specifications in line with DMRB.
• Develop designs using AutoCAD and Civil3D where applicable.
• Deliver work packages and progress to manage schemes and teams.
• Support project managers with planning, pricing, and technical input.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate engineering resources.
