Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Project Manager to lead highways and transportation projects from inception to handover. You will oversee scope, programme, budget, risk and stakeholder engagement, working to Local Authority objectives and regulatory requirements.

You will manage cross‑disciplinary teams, develop business cases, monitor spend and risks, and ensure safe, compliant delivery across multiple concurrent schemes, aligning with AtkinsRéalis values.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management.
• Experience delivering highways, infrastructure, or transportation projects.
• Clear understanding of construction contracts, particularly NEC4.
• PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, or equivalent desirable.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of project management and contract administration through the project life cycle, ensuring delivery to scope, programme, cost and quality.
• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, resource forecasts and governance reporting.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and manage interfaces, dependencies and delivery risks.
• Prepare business cases, cost estimates, funding applications and manage change control.
• Monitor financial performance, expenditure and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead project meetings, manage approvals and resolve delivery issues to maintain programme objectives.
