Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Highways Engineer to lead design delivery across diverse transportation projects in the UK. You will own key design deliverables, identify automation opportunities, and safeguard programme and budget integrity while collaborating with discipline leads and stakeholders.

You will mentor less experienced team members, help build capability, and contribute to major programmes and local schemes with a focus on safety and practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Design experience in transportation and the built environment.
• Degree in engineering and CEng/IEng or equivalent.
• Experience delivering highways projects or land-side alignment elements.
• Understanding of DMRB, MCHW or international standards.
• Knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and safety/wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, practical highways design solutions for diverse clients.
• Own key design deliverables and identify automation opportunities.
• Mentor and support junior team members to build capability.
• Collaborate with discipline leads and stakeholders to ensure quality outcomes.
• Contribute to major transport programmes and local infrastructure improvements.
