Job summary

Matchtech seeks an experienced Senior Highways Engineer to join the Highways team on a contract basis in Greater London. The role covers traffic management, parking, maintenance, and drainage, with responsibility for design, delivery, and site supervision of highway projects.

You will manage diverse workloads, lead technical delivery, and collaborate with senior leaders and external partners to meet organisational objectives and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Broad background across highways services including traffic management, parking, maintenance, and drainage.
• Experience leading design, delivery, and site supervision of highway projects.
• Experience engaging with senior leadership and Councillors within local government.

Responsibilities

• Lead on the design, delivery, and site supervision of both minor and major highway projects.
• Manage a varied workload across highways and infrastructure-related projects.
• Provide technical expertise across traffic management, parking services, highway maintenance, and drainage.
• Work independently to deliver projects and service outcomes.
• Engage with stakeholders including senior leadership, elected members, contractors, and external partners.
• Support delivery of highways services in line with organisational objectives and best practice.
