Job summary

Matchtech's client seeks a Senior Engineer specializing in Highways and Transport to join the in-house design team on a permanent basis. The role shapes streets and communities by managing highway and transport schemes from feasibility through to handover, coordinating with client, commissioning, permitting, inspection and delivery teams.

You will lead a small team of engineers and technicians, apply UK design standards, and drive schemes from feasibility to construction while maintaining

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive highways & transport engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK standards (TSRGD/DMRB).
• Delivery experience from feasibility to handover.
• CDM 2015, safety, contract administration knowledge.
• Experience managing budgets and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage design and delivery of highways/transport schemes to time, cost and quality.
• Lead feasibility, concept and detailed design stages.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
• Provide technical guidance and reports to the team.
