Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Highways Design Engineer for the National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework team, based in Salford. The role involves delivering highways designs, drawings, and technical documentation while mentoring junior colleagues and maintaining client relationships.

You will work within the highways design team to produce high-quality designs and support development of the team with your expertise.

Qualifications

• Member of a professional body IEng/CEng or working towards
• Possession of CSCS Card
• Holder of a full driving licence
• Enjoys collaborative working and building effective relationships
• Committed to delivering innovative engineering solutions with a disciplined approach

Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary and detailed designs for local and national authorities
• Produce design drawings and technical documentation meeting client specs
• Conduct on-site investigations and analyse data from maps/reports/tests/drawings
• Provide innovative engineering solutions and contribute to technical excellence
• Mentor junior staff and maintain strong client relationships
