Job summary

Kier Group plc. in Salford invites applications for a Senior Highways Design Engineer to join our highways design team. You will help deliver innovative designs, drawings and technical documentation for National Highways projects, while supporting junior colleagues and maintaining strong client relationships.

You will contribute to design excellence and collaborate with a wide team, ensuring robust engineering solutions and adherence to approved procedures.

Qualifications

• Member of a professional body at IEng/CEng level or working towards.
• In possession of a CSCS card.
• Holder of a full driving licence.
• Enjoys collaborative working and building effective relationships.
• Committed to delivering innovative solutions with a disciplined and thorough approach.

Responsibilities

• Preparing preliminary and detailed designs in accordance with procedures for local and national authorities.
• Producing design drawings and technical documentation that satisfy client specifications.
• Conducting on-site investigations and analysing data from maps, reports, tests and drawings.
• Providing innovative solutions to engineering problems and contributing towards technical excellence.
• Overseeing and mentoring junior staff while maintaining good client relations and attending meetings.
