Job summary

Haskoning is seeking a Senior Highway Engineer to lead highway/infrastructure projects in the UK, delivering concept through to construction-ready designs within a multi-disciplinary team. You will ensure compliance with local standards and manage client and stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering highway/infrastructure design in the UK.
• Experience from concept through to construction-ready designs.
• Experience with Section 278/38 submissions.
• Active travel/road space design experience.
• Proficient in 3D highway design using Civil 3D.
• Leadership and mentoring of engineers and designers.

Responsibilities

• Guide projects through concept, planning and preliminary design.
• Advise on design standards and environmental considerations.
• Develop construction-ready detailed designs.
• Prepare drainage designs and schedules for tender/construct.
• Provide hands-on management and clear communication across teams.
• Conduct road safety audits and recommend improvements.
