Job summary

Pertemps is seeking a Senior Highway / Infrastructure Design Engineer in Manchester. You will own highway and infrastructure design packages from concept through to detailed design, coordinating with engineers, planners and specialists to create safe and sustainable solutions.

You will mentor junior staff, support international project teams and work within BIM/CDE environments, enjoying flexible hybrid working and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong highway/infrastructure design experience in a consultancy or similar.
• Proven ability to deliver from concept through detailed construction-ready design.
• Experience with Section 278 and Section 38 submissions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver highway and infrastructure design from concept to construction documents.
• Produce highway layouts, vertical alignments and 3D models using Civil 3D.
• Prepare submissions under Section 278/Section 38 for highway schemes.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Coordinate design activities across multidisciplinary teams.
