Job summary

Haskoning UK is seeking a Highway Engineer to join our Infrastructure Design team. You will work on highway and transport projects, producing detailed designs, drainage layouts, and supporting delivery from feasibility through to construction.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to apply standards and best practice, ensuring safe, sustainable outcomes. The role requires experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and related software, knowledge of DMRB and standard design guidance, and the

Qualifications

• Experience producing detailed highway and infrastructure designs through design stages.
• Familiar with technical approvals (S278/S38) and water industry agreements.
• Good knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20 and drainage guidance.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and related software.

Responsibilities

• Produce highway and infrastructure design solutions and layouts.
• Prepare drainage designs, profiles and schedules for drainage strategies.
• Contribute to client advice within project scope and quality standards.
• Work autonomously within a team, meeting timescales and budgets.
