Pertemps in Manchester is seeking a Highway / Infrastructure Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team. You will design highway, active travel and infrastructure solutions from concept through detailed design and approval, contributing to drainage and wider infrastructure coordination.

Qualifikationen

• Experience producing highway and infrastructure design solutions in consultancy or engineering environments.
• Knowledge of Section 278 and Section 38 submissions; awareness of 104/106 agreements.
• Familiarity with DMRB, Manual for Streets and LTN 1/20 standards.
• Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D; familiarity with AVT/KeySign/KeyPost tools.
• Understanding of drainage design guidance and related infrastructure needs.
• Ability to manage workload, work autonomously and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong written and verbal communication; open to professional development.

Aufgaben

• Produce highway, active travel and infrastructure designs for approvals.
• Develop designs from preliminary to construction-ready packages.
• Prepare Section 278 and Section 38 submissions.
• Work with drainage agreements (Section 104/106) and related requirements.
• Create highway layouts using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Apply standards (DMRB, S Roads, LTN 1/20) to designs.
• Coordinate with colleagues, clients and other disciplines to meet timescales and budgets.
• Contribute to technical reviews and design quality assurance.
• Support sustainable transport and active travel project delivery.
