Job summary

Stantec in the UK and Ireland is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Environmental Services Team. You will lead complex desk studies, interpret geotechnical reports, and work with multidisciplinary teams to provide ground risk intelligence for major infrastructure projects.

You will mentor graduates and junior engineers, champion digital workflows, and contribute to sustainable, nature-positive design while advancing your own chartered status with ICE or the Geological Society.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or related field.
• Chartered member of ICE or Geological Society, or near achievement.
• Experience preparing desk studies and geotechnical reports.
• Ability to communicate ground risk to clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex desk studies and interpretative geotechnical reports.
• Analyse sophisticated geotechnical structures and ground conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide ground risk intelligence.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers and promote best practices.
