Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Brighton, UK, is looking for a Senior Engineering Geologist to join the Energy unit’s Civil Team. The role covers geotechnical desk studies, ground investigations management, and geotechnical reporting across transmission, renewable, and nuclear projects.

You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers to deliver robust geotechnical inputs through the project lifecycle. We expect a degree in Geology or Engineering Geology and chartered status, with energy sector experience.

• Ground investigation experience
• English communication skills
• Leadership in design delivery

Responsibilities

• Geotechnical desks studies and reviews of reporting
• Management of investigation contractors on site and in office
• Prepare Geotechnical Interpretative and Design Reports
• Ground modelling and analysis using suitable software
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines for integrated delivery
• Assess ground hazards and communicate solutions
• Support proposals and client tender packages
