Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Principal Geospatial Consultant to lead GeoAI and spatial intelligence across infrastructure, land, and environmental sectors. You will design, build, and deploy production‑grade geospatial workflows while mentoring junior colleagues to grow the capability.

The role focuses on integrating AI with GIS, delivering data‑driven insights, and shaping Esri‑based methodologies within our Transformation & Digital Insights practice in a hybrid UK setting.

Qualifications

• Strong professional GIS experience with a focus on Python development and automation.
• Experience applying AI/ML to geospatial problems (object detection, spatial prediction, etc.).
• Ability to communicate technical outputs clearly to non‑GIS audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop GeoAI solutions using Esri tools and open‑source frameworks.
• Write production‑grade Python toolboxes and spatial data pipelines for ArcGIS environments.
• Integrate deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow) into geospatial workflows at scale.
• Lead technical delivery on GIS/GeoAI project workstreams across utilities, land, and water.
• Mentor junior GIS analysts, review code, and promote best practices in spatial data science.
