Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal Geospatial Consultant to lead GeoAI initiatives across infrastructure, land and environmental sectors in the UK & Ireland. You will design, build, and deploy production‑grade Python workflows, integrate AI into GIS and mentor junior colleagues within a multidisciplinary team.

Based in the UK & Ireland, this hands‑on role combines technical delivery with shaping GeoAI strategy, collaboration with GIS, Data Science and Engineering teams, and delivering high‑impact client

Qualifications

Strong Python development and automation in GIS environments.
Experience with Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise.
Practical AI/ML experience applied to geospatial problems.

Responsibilities

Design and develop GeoAI solutions using Esri tools and open‑source AI frameworks.
Write production‑grade Python toolboxes and spatial data pipelines.
Integrate deep learning frameworks into geospatial workflows to solve client problems at scale.
Lead technical delivery on GeoAI project workstreams across utilities, land ownership, and environmental modelling.
Collaborating with project managers to scope, estimate, and quality‑assure GIS/GeoAI deliverables.
Provide technical assurance and peer review of GeoAI outputs to ensure quality.
Produce clear technical documentation and present findings to stakeholders.
Mentor and support junior GIS analysts and developers, promoting best practices.
Stay current with Esri releases and GeoAI tools; contribute to capability development.
