Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Principal Geospatial Consultant to lead GeoAI and GIS delivery on infrastructure, land and environmental projects. You design, build, and deploy advanced geospatial solutions and production-grade Python workflows, while mentoring junior colleagues.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will collaborate across GIS, Data Science and Engineering teams, stay current with Esri platforms, and help grow our geospatial capability across transport, energy and property

Qualifications

Strong GIS experience with Python automation.
Experience with ArcGIS Pro/Enterprise and geodatabases.
Experience applying AI/ML to geospatial problems.
Knowledge of PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Ability to communicate technical outputs to non-GIS audiences.
Degree in GIS/ Geography/ Computer Science.

Responsibilities

Design and develop GeoAI solutions using Esri tools and open-source AI frameworks.
Write production-grade Python toolboxes and spatial data pipelines.
Integrate deep learning frameworks into geospatial workflows at scale.
Lead technical delivery on GeoAI projects in utilities, land, water and environment.
Collaborate with stakeholders to scope, estimate, and assure quality.
Provide technical assurance and peer review of GeoAI outputs.
Produce technical documentation and present findings to stakeholders.
Mentor junior GIS analysts and promote best practices.
Stay current with Esri updates and emerging GeoAI tools.
