Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal Geospatial Consultant to advance GeoAI solutions across infrastructure projects in a hybrid UK setting. You will build production Python workflows, integrate AI into GIS, and lead technically across GIS and data science teams.

The role emphasizes mentoring, delivering scalable geospatial insights, and staying at the forefront of Esri platforms and AI tools. Join a team shaping major infrastructure outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree (BSc or MSc) in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong Python development and automation experience in GIS projects.
• Practical AI/ML experience applied to geospatial problems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop GeoAI solutions using Esri tools and open‑source AI frameworks.
• Write production‑grade Python tools and data pipelines for GIS environments.
• Integrate DL frameworks into geospatial workflows to deliver scalable insights.
• Lead technical delivery on GeoAI project workstreams across utilities, land, and water.
• Collaborate with PMs and sector leads to scope, estimate, and assure GIS/GeoAI deliverables.
• Provide technical assurance and peer review of GeoAI outputs to ensure quality and standards.
• Produce technical documentation and present findings to diverse stakeholders.
• Mentor junior GIS analysts and developers, promoting best practices in spatial data science.
• Stay current with Esri releases and GeoAI tools, contributing to internal capability development.
