Job summary

Environment Agency is seeking a Senior Advisor in Fluvial Flood Risk Modelling to join Evidence Services. You will support and provide assurance to complex flood risk modelling, and explain uncertainty to diverse audiences.

You will mentor and coach colleagues, contribute to six Fluvial Delivery Teams, and collaborate across Evidence Services and the Centres of Excellence to improve methods and training.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge and technical leadership in flood modelling and hydrology.
• Experience in building hydraulic flood models in a fluvial setting with GIS.
• Data processing and management with GIS software.
• Mentoring and coaching to develop others.
• Ability to work independently or in a team to solve problems.
• Excellent communication of complex problems to non-experts.
