Job summary

Environment Agency in England is seeking a Senior Advisor in Fluvial Flood Risk Modelling to join the Evidence Services team. You will provide technical leadership and assurance to complex flood risk models and support six Fluvial Delivery Teams, helping to integrate modelling across the Flood and Coastal Risk Management directorate.

You will explain uncertainty and complex results to non-expert audiences, mentor colleagues, and contribute to continuous improvement of methods and standards

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge and technical leadership in flood modelling and hydrology.
• Experience building hydraulic flood models in fluvial settings and GIS packages.
• Experience in data processing and management, and Geographical Information System (GIS) software packages.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to six Fluvial Delivery Teams.
• Support flood risk modelling across Evidence Services.
• Explain complexity and uncertainty to non-expert audiences.
