Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an Associate or Associate Director in Bristol to lead Water EIA and Flood Risk studies for major infrastructure projects. You will oversee delivery with a small team and collaborate across disciplines to ensure high-quality outputs.

You will drive client relationships, contribute to proposals and mentoring, and support the growth of the Sustainable Water Management group with a focus on innovation and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing Water EIA and Flood Risk deliverables.
• Proven ability to lead technical inputs and teams for major projects.
• Knowledge of UK planning, EIA and Development Consent Order processes.
• Experience with client and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong project management and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Play a leading role in project delivery, coordinating inputs and ensuring high-quality outputs.
• Collaborate with WSP teams to develop opportunities and prepare proposals.
• Manage projects balancing programme, budget and safety requirements.
• Lead Bristol team; support recruitment and growth.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior colleagues.
• Grow WSP’s technical capability and develop new services.
