Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate or Associate Director Flood Risk and Water EIA consultant to lead in Bristol, collaboratively delivering technically complex water environment projects for major infrastructure, including renewables, highways, and Heathrow expansion. You will work within the national Sustainable Water Management team, providing people leadership and cross-discipline collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Water EIA and Flood Risk deliverables, with strong technical capability in either Water EIA or Flood Risk.
  • Experience leading or contributing to technical inputs and teams for successful project delivery for planning and permitting for major infrastructure projects.
  • Track record in delivering complex, high-profile water environment projects and familiarity with UK planning regimes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project delivery and manage client/internal interfaces to deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues to develop business opportunities and successful proposals.
  • Direct projects, balancing programme, budget and quality while maintaining health and safety standards.
  • Lead the Bristol team: people management and recruitment/growth of the office.
  • mentor junior colleagues and provide technical guidance and training.
  • Grow WSP’s water management capabilities and develop new services for clients.
