Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland seeks an experienced flood forecast modeller/hydrologist to join our Sustainable Water Management team. You will deliver real-time and non-real-time flood modelling projects, provide technical leadership, and collaborate with a cross-functional team across the UK.

You will mentor junior modellers, support tender development, and engage with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes while promoting a safety-first culture and innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of UK flood forecasting techniques, rating review, Flood Modeller, PDM and performance testing.
• Experience with reviews and calculations for UK statutory bodies (EA, SEPA, NRW or DfI).
• Chartership with a relevant professional body or commitment to pursue.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical delivery and leadership for flood forecast modelling and hydrology studies.
• Mentor less experienced flood forecasting modellers and support team development.
• Lead high-quality bid proposals and develop innovative client solutions.
• Provide project, commercial and financial management for projects and liaise with stakeholders.
