Job summary

WSP UK is expanding its flood forecasting capacity within Sustainable Water Management to deliver real-time and non-real-time flood modelling for a broad range of projects. You will work with hydraulic modellers and hydrologists, providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior staff while contributing to tenders and client relationships.

The role requires extensive knowledge of Flood Modeller, PDM and rating reviews, with a focus on quality delivery, stakeholder liaison and innovation in

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of UK flood forecasting techniques, rating review, Flood Modeller, PDM and performance testing.
• Experience reviewing and calculating for UK statutory bodies (EA/SEPA/NRW/DfI).
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to develop opportunities and winning proposals.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical delivery and leadership for flood forecast modelling and hydrology studies.
• Undertake QA and independent technical reviews of reports and products.
• Produce high quality client- and public-facing deliverables with clear data visualisation.
