Job summary

WSP UK is expanding its national flood forecasting capacity within the Sustainable Water Management team. You will join our experienced modellers to deliver real time flood modelling projects and support broader client needs.

As a senior modeller or hydrologist you will mentor colleagues, contribute to bids, manage projects and liaise with clients and stakeholders while upholding a safety-first culture across activities.

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of UK flood forecasting techniques and modelling.
• Experience in real time model development and testing.
• Chartered engineer or commitment to achieving chartership.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical delivery for flood forecast modelling and hydrology studies.
• Lead and mentor less experienced flood forecasting modellers.
• Review reports and client deliverables with QA and accuracy focus.
• Support bid proposals and develop innovative solutions for clients.
• Manage projects financially and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Maintain safety-first approach in line with policy.
