Job summary

Hill McGlynn is recruiting an experienced Project Manager to lead fit-out projects from Whitstable office in Kent. You will oversee mobilisation, programming, and delivery, ensuring safety, quality, and commercial targets are met, with close collaboration with clients and subcontractors.

The role demands strong IT, reporting, and administration skills, with experience using progress sheets and construction programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience managing fit-out/project delivery within construction.
• Strong organisational and reporting capabilities.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing fit out projects from mobilisation through to completion and handover.
• Taking responsibility for programme, quality, Health & Safety and overall project delivery.
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
• Preparing, maintaining and updating construction programmes.
• Monitoring project progress against agreed programmes and milestones.
• Producing and maintaining detailed progress sheets and project trackers.
• Using project management and reporting systems to maintain accurate project information.
• Liaising closely with clients and providing regular updates on project progress.
• Attending and leading client, subcontractor and project meetings.
• Managing subcontractor performance and ensuring works are completed to the required standards.
• Coordinating labour, materials and project resources.
• Identifying programme risks, delays and issues and implementing solutions.
• Working with commercial and operational teams throughout project delivery.
• Maintaining accurate project records, reports and documentation.
