Job summary

Arcadis is recruiting for a Senior Consultant and/or Principal Consultant to join our Fire Engineering team in the UK. The role focuses on Fire Safety Engineering across building and rail projects, with desktop reviews and design support in early project stages.

You will work across UK and international opportunities, develop fire risk assessments, and contribute to proposals while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant, robust fire safety solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong experience of fire safety engineering skills.
• Engineering degree from a recognised university.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards the Chartership.
• Ability to work independently on tasks and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Development of Fire Safety Strategy reports.
• Means of Escape analysis and evacuation planning.
• Assessment of UK fire safety regulations and standards (AD B, BS9991, etc.).
• Support on fire risk assessment for buildings and rail sectors.
• Attendance at internal and client design team meetings.
• Assistance with proposals and marketing materials for Fire Safety capabilities.
