Job summary

Arcadis is looking for a Senior Consultant and/or Principal Consultant to join our Fire Engineering team in the UK. You will undertake fire safety engineering work, including desktop reviews on design projects, and support the fire safety discipline across Arcadis.

The role predominantly serves the building sector with occasional rail projects. You will engage in developing fire risk assessments, attending design team meetings, and contributing to proposals.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in fire safety engineering for buildings and rail.
• Recognised engineering degree with professional body aspirations.
• Experience applying UK fire safety standards like AD B, BS9991, BS7974.

Responsibilities

• Develop Fire Safety Strategy reports.
• Means of Escape analysis and related calculations.
• Apply British fire safety regulations and standards to design work.
• Support building and rail projects across the UK.
• Attend internal and client design meetings.
• Assist with proposals and marketing materials.
