Triple Star Fire and Security Limited is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The role focuses on planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and compliance testing of fire detection and alarm systems across commercial, industrial and residential sites.

You will be a senior presence on site, ensuring compliance with BS 5839‑1 and UK fire alarm standards, liaising with clients and facilities teams, and supporting junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
• Level 3 Qualification in BS 5839‑1 (mandatory).
• Strong working knowledge of UK fire alarm standards and legislation.
• Experience with leading manufacturers such as Advanced, Kentec, Morley, Gent, Notifier, Apollo, Hochiki.
• Proven fault-finding and diagnostic capability.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• Strong customer communication and reporting skills.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).

Responsabilités

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fire alarm systems.
• Attend reactive call-outs, diagnosing faults efficiently and effectively.
• Undertake system repairs, component replacements, and remedial works.
• Conduct testing and inspection in line with BS 5839‑1.
• Complete service reports, certificates, and compliance documentation accurately.
• Identify non-compliances and advise clients on remedial actions.
• Liaise professionally with clients, facilities teams, and internal managers.
• Ensure all works meet company quality standards and health & safety requirements.
• Support junior engineers where required.
