Universal Business Team is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to service and maintain fire alarm systems across Central London and surrounding areas. This hands-on, field-based role offers development opportunities within a growing division.

The position involves servicing, maintenance, fault finding and ensuring compliance across client sites, with ongoing training and a clear path for progression within the team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good knowledge of BS 5839 regulations.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.

• Fault finding and carrying out reactive repairs.
• Identifying system issues and recommending improvements.
• Completing detailed service reports and compliance documentation.

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:30pm

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join a growing fire protection specialist delivering services across Central London and surrounding areas.

This is a hands-on, field-based role working across multiple sites, offering the chance to develop within an expanding area of the business with strong long-term prospects.

The Role

You will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and fault finding of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance and high standards across all client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems in line with industry standards (BS 5839)
• Fault finding and carrying out reactive repairs
• Identifying system issues and recommending improvements
• Completing detailed service reports and compliance documentation
• Working across multiple sites within Central London and the M25 area

You will receive ongoing support and training from experienced senior engineers to ensure your success in the role.

We are looking for a reliable and technically capable engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality service and maintaining safety standards.

Due to the nature of some client sites, successful candidates will be required to undergo security vetting.
