This role is ideal for ahigh‑quality installation engineerwho takes pride in workmanship, understands compliance requirements, and can deliver installations to the highest professional standards.

Role Overview

As anExperienced Fire Alarm Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation of fire detection and alarm systems across commercial, industrial and residential environments.

You will work independently and as part of a wider project team, delivering installations that meetBS 5839‑1and company requirements, while maintaining clear communication with project managers, site teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Install fire alarm systems (addressable and conventional)
• Carry outfirst and second fixinstallation works to a high standard
• Install containment, cabling, devices, panels and associated equipment
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications and system designs
• Ensure all installations comply withBS 5839‑1and relevant regulations
• Carry out installation testing and support commissioning where required
• Complete installation records and handover documentation accurately
• Maintain professional conduct on client sites
• Work safely and in accordance with company health & safety policies

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experienceinstalling fire alarm systems
• Strong working knowledge ofBS 5839‑1installation requirements
• Experience with leading manufacturers, including:
  Advanced, Kentec, Morley, Gent, Notifier, Apollo, Hochiki
• Ability to work independently and deliver installations to programme
• High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
• Good communication skills when dealing with clients and site personnel
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
