Job summary

Keoghs in Birmingham is seeking a Technical Supervisor/Lead File Handler to lead the team toward technical development objectives. You will supervise, provide technical support and training, and maintain a caseload of MOD NIHL matters.

You will drive quality and timely settlement while ensuring compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct and client benchmarks, and you will develop the team's capability through targeted learning activities and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with expert knowledge in disease claims.
• Experience in file handling of disease claims.
• Technical sign-off on NIHL matters (£150K FA 250K HA).
• Proficient in all stages of litigation for disease claims.
• Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate some prior experience of leading a project or team.
• Desirable: developing others by identifying learning needs and training plans.
• Proficient in MS Office and Case/Claims Management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, training and technical support to their team.
• To continue to handle a reduced caseload.
• Ensure compliance with benchmarks set by Keoghs and by clients whilst driving settlement and ensuring quality of delivery
• Identify and implement appropriate learning activities to ensure the achievement of appropriate authority levels and the ongoing development of all team members.
• Ensure effective communication with the team at all times
• Assist with reviewing client complaints, taking action to resolve issues as swiftly and effectively as possible
• Complete projects and process updates in order to improve current operating practices or to address specific client issues.
• To ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct 2019
