Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a technically skilled engineer to join the Mobile Service Team in the UK. You will deliver tele-support and on-site resolution for electro-mechanical systems in Material Handling Equipment, driving reliability and performance for customers across the UK.

You will coordinate maintenance activities, review daily performance, and develop strong customer relationships while ensuring safe and compliant service delivery across sites.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 or above in maintenance mechanical / electrical discipline.
• Strong technical knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and controls.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with Maximo (CMMS) desirable.
• Familiarity with PLCs and FSCs advantageous.
• Ability to analyse complex technical problems and implement solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide leading technical response and tele-support for complex electro-mechanical and control system issues to support customers.
• Coordinate fault correction activities on MHE with operations managers.
• Review and monitor system performance daily and identify root causes.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
• Take accountability for Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM).
• Participate in training initiatives to enhance team capability.
• Build and maintain customer relationships and partnerships with contractors.
• Foster collaboration with subcontractors and internal teams.
• Drive safety-first culture across activities.
