Job summary

Nationwide Platforms is seeking a Mobile Service Engineer to maintain and repair powered access equipment across customer sites in the UK. You’ll perform fault-finding, servicing and refurbishment, while handling paperwork and ensuring service records are up to date.

The role emphasizes driving safety, teamwork and high standards of customer service, with regular training updates and a varied field-based workload.

Qualifications

Relevant general maintenance qualification and proven experience gained within the plant rental sector preferred.
Experience in plant, diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics/fault finding.
Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Fault-finding, servicing, repairs and maintenance of powered access equipment at depot and on customer sites.
Routine service and maintenance of all equipment and products.
Complete all relevant supporting paperwork in line with company procedures.
Carry out refurbishment of equipment and products where necessary.
Promote teamwork across depots to ensure effective workshop performance.
Estimate and advise on repair costs and potential write-offs or recharges to customers.
Ensure van is stocked with spare parts and service records are updated in systems.
