Job summary

Intuitive Surgical is seeking a Field Service Engineer to manage customer technical relations post-sale for the da Vinci Surgical System in a UK territory. The role requires independent work, handling technical escalations and maintaining expectations with customers and Intuitive staff.

Responsibilities include field service across all system platforms, planned/unplanned visits, on-site training, and service contract renewal discussions.

Qualifications

• Senior da Vinci Surgical technical expert across all system platforms.
• Ability to autonomously manage and schedule both planned and unplanned appointments with customers.
• Provide on-site technical and training support to junior and field service engineers.
• Engage service contract renewal discussions with hospitals.
• Manage spare parts inventory, returned materials, and service contracts data.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior da Vinci Surgical technical expert across all system platforms.
• Analyze customer requirements to ensure effective system installation and coordination.
• Autonomously schedule and execute planned/unplanned visits to maximize uptime and reliability.
• Identify improvements and provide feedback to Product Support and Engineering.
• Provide on-site technical training and escalation support to field staff.
• Support service contract renewals by presenting value of service offerings.
• Maintain administrative duties including spare parts inventory and training documentation.
