Job summary

CBRE in Reading is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day operational services, supplier management, and delivery of financial and operational results. You will coordinate hard and soft services, ensure KPI/SLA targets, and lead a team to drive continuous improvement across facilities.

Applicants should have proven FM leadership, strong HSE knowledge, and experience with CMMS/work order systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar Facilities Management role with client, supplier, and team management.
• Demonstrable people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of Health, Safety, Environmental, and compliance best practices.
• Experience managing contractors, suppliers, service delivery, and performance against KPIs and SLAs.
• Good financial acumen with budget management experience.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with the client and act as the primary FM contact.
• Manage laboratory environments to maintain temperature and humidity control.
• Lead and support teams, suppliers, and contractors to deliver high-quality services.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, Security and legislative requirements.
• Drive operational excellence through performance management and continuous improvement.
• Manage FM operations including CMMS/work order systems, SLA delivery, purchasing, and supplier performance.
• Prepare and maintain FM, Extra Works, and Project budgets with Finance and Contract Support.
• Provide accurate reporting and management information to CBRE and client stakeholders.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships for maintenance, PPM, reactive works and subcontractors.
• Coordinate business management functions and maintain auditable records.
• Collaborate with wider UK locations and account teams for consistent service delivery.
• Identify commercial opportunities to enhance service and financial performance.
