Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Technical Supervisor to act as the technical lead across multiple sites in the South of England, including Reading, London and Oxford. You will oversee maintenance delivery, lead technicians and subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality and compliance across all works.

The role requires hands-on engineering experience, strong leadership and a proactive mindset to drive continuous service improvements for a major client within CBRE Global Workplace Solutions.

Qualifications

• Engineering or technical background with hands-on experience.
• Proven experience supervising technical or maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of EHS requirements and safe systems of work.
• Excellent planning, scheduling and organisational skills.
• Ability to estimate labour, materials, and skills required for maintenance works.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Competence reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints.
• Experience using work order systems and maintenance planning processes.
• A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset and the ability to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Act as the site technical services lead, ensuring compliance with all legislative, client and CBRE health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Manage and coordinate all planned, reactive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Lead and develop an on-site technical team, maximising self-delivery of works.
• Manage specialist subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time and to standard.
• Champion Maintenance Excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support budget management in line with contract and service line requirements.
• Provide technical solutions and prepare quotations for small project works.
• Identify and support opportunities for additional services and increased scope.
• Provide technical support across a wide range of industrial technical services.
• Carry out hands-on maintenance activities when required (e.g. emergency response or cover).
