Job summary

Advancing People Limited is seeking an experienced estimator to lead a growing estimating team within a cabling and IT infrastructure business. The role emphasizes technical design, bid development, and close client engagement across complex projects.

You will oversee cost planning and tender submissions, shaping scope and risk while influencing bid strategy. The position offers hybrid working with the office attended 1–2 days per week and potential remote arrangements.

Qualifications

• Senior estimator with autonomy to lead bids end-to-end across IT infrastructure and cabling projects.
• Experience in cost planning, estimating, tender submissions for complex multi-discipline schemes.
• Familiarity with frameworks, Schedule of Rates, or public-sector procurement is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost planning, estimating, and tender submissions for complex, multi-discipline projects.
• Shape scope, assumptions, exclusions, and commercial risk to support bid strategy and margins.
• Develop technical and commercial proposals, including pricing models and supporting documentation.
• Lead or validate designs and surveys, coordinating internal engineers and external partners.
• Engage with clients at bid stage as a technical partner, in design-and-build or ECE environments.
• Monitor tender portals and manage a structured opportunity pipeline.
