Job summary

Advancing People Ltd is seeking a senior estimator to lead estimating, technical design, and bid development across multi-discipline IT infrastructure projects. The role focuses on structured cabling, low-voltage systems and wireless tech, with a remit to grow and lead the estimating team.

Based in the Manchester area with flexibility to work remotely, candidates can live north or midlands. Strong Excel, and tools like Simpro, AutoCAD or Ekahau are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Candidate from technology, infrastructure or engineering background with bid end-to-end ownership.
• Experience in cabling fibre or copper essential; wireless exposure a bonus.
• Comfortable engaging clients at bid stage and in design-build/early contractor engagement environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow the estimating team to support significant growth.
• Lead cost planning, estimating and tender submissions for complex projects.
• Shape scope, exclusions and commercial risk to support bid strategy and margins.
